Scott Wheeler Scott Wheeler is the HR Guru and owner of HR on Wheels. Human Resources, Operations and Consulting Experience Scott started HR on Wheels in 2007 and has provided a variety of services in Organizational Design, Human Resources and Career Management and Executive Coaching to small and medium sized businesses since. He is recognized as a resourceful change-agent with strong business integration skills having functioned as a business partner and internal consultant to senior level corporate and divisional management for the past twelve years in addition to his generalist duties. His background in organizational design and execution was strengthened by leading the start up, reorganization or integration of fifteen business units successfully. Business/Organizational Leadership Experience
Scott started his business following a eighteen months at CIRCOR Instrumentation Technology where he assisted in a total senior management re-organization .
Previously, he used his organizational design skills at JHM Hotels, a regional franchise hotel company, where he established and developed all aspects of the Human Resources department over nine years during a period of rapid growth from $30M to $110M.
Prior to working in Human Resources, Scott worked as a General Manager in Marriott International’s Contract Food Service Division, where he was known for his record of reviving struggling busines units and opening new ones.
He has been involved in both national and local volunteer organizations; having served on the HR Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Board of Directors of the Greenville Society of Human Resource Managers and the Advisory Board for the Greenville Technical College Culinary Arts program.
Education and Training
Scott earned his Master of Business Administration in Human Resources / Organizational Behavior & Design degree from the University of New Mexico – Anderson School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration – Management from Iowa State University. He is a Certified Hospitality Trainer and Serv-Safe Instructor
